Timothy Bakels, B.A.

Timothy Bakels is a healthcare executive, investor, and Chief Financial Officer of Aura Recovery Center, with more than 15 years of experience across finance, private equity, portfolio management, and business operations, including eight years focused on behavioral healthcare.

Tim has been actively involved in the development, financing, acquisition, and operation of behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment organizations across multiple states. His experience spans financial strategy, capital structuring, mergers and acquisitions, payer strategy, revenue cycle management, budgeting, facility expansion, and operational growth.

In addition to his role with Aura, Tim is a Partner of Epiphany Wellness, a multi-state behavioral health platform with operations in New Jersey, Tennessee, and Massachusetts, and Managing Partner of Black Marlin Investment Group and Barnhorn Capital.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
