About Dr. Erika

Dr. Erika Steinbrenner is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a specialization in addiction psychiatry. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and secured her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Dr. Steinbrenner successfully completed her residency in psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, where she has received advanced training. After her residency, Dr. Steinbrenner undertook an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the same institution, deepening her commitment to addiction medicine.
Having amassed several years of hands-on experience in addressing substance use disorders, Dr. Steinbrenner now holds the position of Medical Director at Aura Recovery, located in Kentucky. Instead of merely addressing symptoms, she believes in a holistic treatment approach. This philosophy emphasizes that genuine healing unfolds over time, integrating various aspects such as the mind, body, and spirit. Due to Dr. Steinbrenner’s unwavering commitment to her profession, she’s recognized as a foremost authority in addiction psychiatry.
